Thoughts on Ink is where I put words to things I am still figuring out.

It is a space for reflection; on mental health, faith, relationships, identity, and the quieter moments of life that do not always have a clear name. Some pieces are personal. Some are observational. Some are responses to the world as it is. All of them come from paying attention.

I write about the in-between places. The seasons where nothing is falling apart, but nothing feels settled either. The kind of experiences that are easy to carry silently but hard to explain out loud. Writing is how I make sense of them.

“I write to understand what I think”

— Joan Didion

This is not a space for quick fixes or polished answers. I am not trying to teach or convince. I am more interested in honesty, nuance, and staying with a thought long enough to understand it better.

If you find yourself drawn to writing that is reflective than loud, thoughtful rather than certain, you might find something here that resonates.

You don’t have to agree with everything. You are welcome to read, sit with it, and take only what feels true.

About Me

Hello! I'm Diane

I am someone who has always turned to writing to make sense of things. Especially the parts of life that feel confusing, heavy or quietly complicated.

I write about mental health, relationships, identity, faith, and the in-between seasons we often move through without much language. Most of what you will find here comes from lived experience, observation, and a habit of sitting with thoughts a little longer than most people do.

I do not write because I have the answers. I write because it helps me understand myself, other people and the world around me. Writing gives me the space to slow down and to say things honestly, without needing to tidy them up. Some of what I write is still in the process of becoming, and I am comfortable letting it be that way.

Thoughts on Ink is where those reflections live. If you are drawn to writing that feels thoughtful, unhurried and real, I am glad you are here.
